Swami Ramanand Teerth Mahavidyalaya, affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chattarpati Sambhajinagar, was established by Yogeshwari Education Society, Ambagogai, Dist. Beed in 1970. Yogeshwari Education Society is one of the prestigious educational institutions in the state of Maharashtra and has been working for rural and drought prone area students of Beed district. The college has been imparting education especially to the deprived and weaker sections of the society with the objective, bringing out the social transformation by preparing and empowering them. Yogeshwari Education Society was established by visionary and devoted team of Late Adv. Krushnaji Purushottam Chausalkar in 1918 with many noble aims and objectives. It was later taken up by Rev. Swami Ramanand Teerth and Babasaheb Paranjape who proved out to be the main pillars of today’s reputed institution and accelerated the educational development of the institution.
The motto of the Society is “त्येन त्यक्तेन भुज्जीथा:” (dedicate a little what you own and be happy). Yogeshwari Education Society established mono-faculty Science College by the name Yogeshwari Mahavidyalaya in 1956. The college was extended with Arts and Commerce faculties in 1960. Further, the Arts and Commerce faculties were separated from Yogeshwari Mahavidyalya in 1970 and named after Rev. Swami Ramanand Teerth. The college is recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) and 12(B), UGC Act 1956. It has competent and experienced teaching staff, optimum infrastructure, well-equipped computer labs, a language lab, rich central library, spacious reading halls, a beautiful campus, hostels, a guest house, an indoor stadium and playgrounds. It provides quality education to the socio-economically deprived sections of society in the form of B.A., B.Com., M.Com., M.A. and Ph.D. to fulfill the learning desires of students. The college has 30 faculties; out of them, 26 are Ph.D. and 12 non-teaching staff. NAAC has accredited our college with a B+ grade in its 3rd cycle with a 2.68 CGPA. The faculties are motivated by the history and thoughts of the parent institute and contribute to impart quality education to the wards of deprived classes. The college is progressing in research along with establishing two research centers and faculties have achieved excellent publications and patents. Alumni of the college is dedicated to offer their services to parent institute and the college.

The college is committed to offer inclusive education to the socially and economically disadvantaged groups to make education equitable and inclusive in line with National Education Policy 2020.
